So today I wanted to kind of take it mellow, I know not much different than my other days. The youth are going to the Orange County Food Bank to do service and I really wanted to go. I've never been there. Then I talked to my MIL and she was telling me she has the scouts coming over tonight and she needed to make cookies but she didn't know when she'd find the time. So I thought, I can do that for her! I feel so useless and incapable of service most of the time.
So Jeremy and I made chocolate chip cookies and he licked the beaters for the first time. I think it's so cute and a really fond memory of mine from my childhood, but he'd never do it before. Well while I was getting the salt out of the cupboard, I felt it wobble a little and the next thing I knew the whole cabinet had fallen off the wall on me. Well I caught it and let it spill everything onto the counter and floor and then I lifted the cabinet onto the floor. It was really surprising and Jeremy just stood there looking at me like what in the world is going on in there!? Anyway I'm just glad it wasn't one of the other cabinets because they're all bigger and have heavier stuff like dishes in them and I wouldn't have been able to hold them. I called Daddy and he said that cabinet had been down when we looked at the house and they had to put it back up before we moved in. Apparently those former owners didn't do a very good job. Oh well, it lasted 7 1/2 years. I can't believe we've been here that long. I'm so tempted to just take the rest of the cabinets down and give the kitchen the makeover it sorely needs, but I don't want to spend the money! I guess we're lucky it's not urgent, except for that cabinet!

Hi! You've been "Tagged"! Read my blog for instructions!
OHHH My sister! That is so scary! I was so shocked that I ran into my boss' office to tell him before I even finished reading. I am glad you are okay and hopefully nothing broke.
Ahhh.... the kitchen makeover... I found some instructions on the Internet that say I can paint my hideous kitchen counters and then paint with a protective glossy coating. I am tempted to look into it more because heaven knows I can't afford new counters.
P.S. I used to love licking beaters and it's so fun that he does it now.
Umm... About the licking beaters, Maryn's been preparing to compete in the Olympics for beater licking for the past year at least! Jeremy has some catching up to do!!
