So for those of you who are so over Christmas, don't read this post. I really wanted to post about Christmas and I fell behind. I want to start blogging on Sunday afternoons since we have early church and it seems like a nice Sunday activity. Plus David's home to watch the baby so I can finish without being interrupted.
So when David got home from work on Christmas Eve, we went to his parents' house to celebrate Christmas.
Grandpa had to work Christmas Day so we opened presents with them early.
Our family got the Wii! We were so excited!
We got this sign for David's parents cause they're super duper mushy.
It felt kind of rushed like we didn't have that night to finish getting ready, but it was nice to have Christmas morning not feel so rushed and stay home.
Christmas morning was fun watching Jeremy. He was so funny. We had to talk him into opening a present.
He was so occupied with his stocking and wanting breakfast that we took a break and ate our yummy traditional Cinnabons and then went back to his presents. He was so sweet. We'd ask him if he wanted to open another present and he would ask, "Is that present for me?" He was in awe that he would have more than one present.
I was really good and only got Kelsey one present. I know she doesn't need anything and could care less anyway. She enjoyed opening it and Jeremy enjoyed showing her how it worked.
Jeremy got some fun toys he'd wanted for a long time thanks to the awesome Black Friday deals at Walmart.
Kelsey just enjoyed the wrapping.
In the afternoon we felt ready to venture out and took David's mom to visit her hubby at the fire station.
Whenever the grandkids come, Grandpa buys them a candy bar. Jeremy didn't know they cost money so he just helped himself!
It was fun having Christmas dinner with the firemen and the other families that came. Kelsey made friends with another baby there who was the same age.
We took pictures and hung out with Grandpa in his room for a while.
Jeremy had fun jumping on the bed.
I was highly amused by this little pad in the urinal. Who wouldn't want to pee on Bin Laden?
The day after Christmas it was my turn with my family.
My sisters and our families went to the portrait studio to take new family photos since Cherish was in town and we've added a couple little girls to the family.
Then we went home and ate yummy food and opened gifts.
The boys had fun with the Guitar Hero World Tour Janice and Greg got their family and us girls sat around and chatted.
For New Year's Eve we went to our neighbors'. They had a honey baked ham and David made mashed potatoes and stuffing to go with it. So yummy!
We brought cheesecake and some noisemakers to bring in 2009. I usually don't stay up because it's just another day to me, but I made a valiant effort since David really likes to kiss me at midnight.
The next morning we came back over and made waffles and hung out. It was good yummy fun! It was a great holiday season with lots of family and friends and for the first time I'm not at all sad to leave it behind and tackle this new year.

If I hadn't had so much fun, I would complain about that beautiful picture you put up of us. However did you choose between all our funny face shots? ;)
Looks like a wonderful time!!!
What fun pictures. My favorite was the bin laden picture. LOL
didn't know that Janice was your sister?
I love how Jeremy is so sweet. He's not all greedy like a lot of kids are on Christmas. I love all the cute pictures you take of Kelsee. I also liked hearing about visiting David's dad at the firestation. I'm not dreading our future holdays so much anymore.
Yea for a good christmas!!
