Give the Best Gifts

My fabulous friend Carly left this little bit of inspiration on her blog that I am so in love with that I must share. It's 2 weeks till Christmas, so to all you crazy gift givers out there, we love you, but don't stress yourselves out! Enjoy the season.
"Christmas gifts should be in memory of the divine gift--the life of Jesus Christ. His gift gave us eternal life; our gifts should enliven with joy those who receive them. His gift was the sacrifice of his earthly life, our gifts should represent personal sacrifices on our part." --John A. Widtsoe

So all my slaving over the sewing machine is a sacrifice, right??!?! Oh good!! :-)

That's why homemade gifts are the best. I don't know how to make too many things so it makes it hard to give te way I wish I could. I admire all the sewers and crafty girls. They are so lucky to give gifts of themselves. I guess the sacrifice in what we do is what makes it special. So I guess rich people need to dig deeper. hahaha!

It is true. I try to keep this in mind while I do buy and make and give to so many people. As I give and plan a gift I try to think about all the things I love about the person I am giving to and that makes me love giving them a gift even more. Thanks for sharing this!
