Dream Come True

For those of you who know me really well, you know the fondest wish of my heart was to have a little girl. The dresses, the hair, the bows, it was just all a magical fairyland to me.
I had Jeremy first, and I was in love with him. I held him through every nap, nursed him on demand, took his picture a thousand times, and loved every breath he took. Boys are a blessing to their mothers. What a special, tender bond we have with them.
Then I found out I was having a girl.
I shopped, and sewed, and squealed over every little pink thing there was. I was beyond excited for my wish to come true.
And it is magical.
And amazing.
Kelsey is the greatest blessing I could have been given after Jeremy. She is snuggly and smart, sassy and brave, pretty and petite. But one of my favorite things about her is her hair. The little curls that sprout over her head are a never-ending source of wonder to me. I love to run my fingers through it and shape it into girly creations topped with ribbon bows and rosettes. This french braided crown topped with a lavender chiffon flower is the pinnacle for me. I can't express to you how much joy it gives me. Silly perhaps, but joy just the same.

Beautiful! I can't wait until Kimberly has enough hair to braid. Maybe when she's 5. :)

I remember when you used to do the same fabulous things to your own hair! It was fun to see what you did with it, week by week.

It looks awesome and I can't believe she sat still so you could do it! Isabella will barely sit still to get piggies. LOL
