Myanmar

I am in love with the Internet. I just love to find out exactly what I want to know at the touch of a button. So I had never even heard of Myanmar until this cyclone hit it. Myanmar, pronounced me-un-mar with the emphasis on mar, has 109 languages, 108 living and 1 extinct. The country was renamed in 1989 and was formally known as Burma, a name I more readily recognize. There are 50 million people living in this little country, and with the expected death toll at an astonishing 128,000 people, this only wipes out .002 percent of their people. I found out that a cyclone is the same thing as a hurricane, but the storms are called different things in different parts of the world. It's really amazing to me to find out how advanced our country really is when a disaster happens. Our loss of life and property is so much less and the aid is more quickly available compared to these other countries. I'm interested to ask God when I see Him why some countries advanced more quickly and how our country was supposed to play a part in relation to the other countries of the world.

you know what i want to ask God when i see him...... i want to know how come in the animal kingdom, the male is the one with all the bright colors and shows off for the female, but in human nature, us females are the ones that have to get all gussied up and shake our toushies at the males. i don't get it. think about it. male lions have manes, male fish are brightly colored, male peacocks have beautiful tails. the femals are all bland and boring looking. i would really like to be boring!!! i think i'll post about this soon on my blog.
