Shark Sightings
According to this map there have been 11 shark sightings. Over half of them have been in the Huntington Beach area. Does this make you nervous to go in the ocean or do you still feel safe, knowing that shark attacks are relatively rare?
It makes me more nervous! But, alas, I never go in the ocean because of numerous other reasons, so I'm probably not a good judge. I don't like to swim with animals, I think it's very dirty water and it makes me feel gritty and unclean. I like a pool much better!
This reminds me of that story about the guy who got the job driving a truck because he stayed far away from the edge of the mountain road (away from temptation). Feel free to use this analogy in your next talk! (I don't even swim, so I'm not worried about a shark attack at all!)

That is creepy, but I'm too chicken to go out very far anyway, so I think I'd be okay. Mid-calf is as far as I get!
