2010 Top Ten...or 25

2010 was a year of delicious adventures! As I compiled my favorite memories, I realized how many of them were edible!!

In January we took a trip to Solvang and I fell in love with aebleskivers!!

Mmm...soft dough balls with powdered sugar and raspberry jam. What's not to love?

 Pigtails!! I'm in love.

 We celebrated 10 Years of Wedded adventures!!

 Captain EO came back to Disneyland and we were there for the very first showing!! Oh how I missed you Captain.

 We took advantage of the $15 Dollar Day and went on our first trip to Legoland with fun family. We definitely want to go back again, just not on the busiest day of the year.

 Family reunion in the mountains, with a car break-down and karaoke. Good times.

 We took the $9 flight to San Francisco, thank you JetBlue, and had a ball exploring the city for a day.

 Jeremy learned to jump-rope!

 I talked my friend Kyla into camping out with me at Chickfila for 52 free meal tickets, and we had a blast!

 We fell in love with free Sprinkles cupcakes at Little Corona Beach...

 ...and Longboards Ice Cream on a stick!

 I won a year's worth of free meals from Chick-fil-A when I bought this ice-cream cone! Yeah BABY!!

 I sewed like a crazy woman, did 4 craft boutiques, and opened and closed my handmade business.

 We went as a family and camped out at the Mira Mesa Chick-Fil-A grand opening.

 I entered my first pie-eating contest at the OC fair. Mmm...boysenberry...

We had a wet and wild birthday party at Westminster's Splash Pad for Jeremy's 7th birthday, and Kelsey's 2nd birthday!

 The kids and I camped out for the Valencia Chick-Fil-A grand opening.

 We had Knott's passes this year and had a blast at Soak City on the hot summer days. 

 Jeremy had a lot of fun playing soccer.

 And he competed in his first Shorinji Kempo tournament and won 2 trophies! He was very excited.

 I had my dream family photo shoot I'd always wanted on the beach with Bonilla Photography. Love!!

 We had a blast playing at the Disney Resort, thank you Uncle Jim!

 We sold our house we bought 10 years ago when we were first married.

 And after several months of negotiating with the banks, moved into this townhouse just before Christmas!!

It was a fun, exhausting, wonderfully blessed year!!

Family Photos 2010

I was so excited for our family pictures this year. We have friends who just happen to be photographers and let me trade babysitting for a fabulous photo session on the beach. They take such beautiful pictures and I had always wanted to do this shoot, so I was thrilled!

October

Wow. October was seriously the craziest month I've ever had. We sold our house, and had to pack up everything and move in with David's parents until our new house could get through the short sale process. Why they call it a short sale is beyond me, since it is the longest and most complicated way to sell a house. Probably because they're selling it short of the money owed on the loan. Good deal for us, but a long and frustrating process. We were supposed to be able to stay in our old house and rent it back from our friend who bought it from us. The short sale on our new house was just taking too long though, and she had found someone to rent her other house and needed to move in to ours. We had a week and a half to get out. On top of that, I had a major craft boutique I was sewing for the same weekend. 

Needless to say, we took a week vacation from school and just let Jeremy play and entertain Kelsey while we tackled the insanity. 

David took this extremely attractive shot of me in my pajamas sewing like a madwoman. That's pretty much what I looked like all month.

The kids had fun as we packed and they were so good and found ways to entertain themselves in the different stages of packing. Kelsey was a little traumatized to have her bed disappear one day though.

We had a lot of simple meals. LOL

In between packing and sewing we had soccer. Jeremy was excited to get to be the goalie, but the ball stayed down at the other end of the field, so he was disappointed. We told him he did a great job, and he looked at us like we were crazy and said, but the ball never came to me! Oh well, he looked cute.

Kelsey wanted to pick every single yellow dandelion on the field and put them in her hair. That's my girl!

We celebrated Daddy's birthday and Jeremy helped him blow out all the candles.

I was super excited to be there when one of my YW opened her mission call to Boise ID!! She's gonna be great!!

I was so relieved when the boutique was here and I could stop sewing.

There were lots of lookers and touchers, but not a lot of buyers. Oh well, I've got 2 more holiday boutiques coming up in December and my inventory is well stocked!

That weekend we finished moving into my in-laws house and spent the next week watching our newest niece while her parents went to Cancun. 

Jeremy was sweet and read to her.

Kelsey shared her dolly. It was fun, but I am certain now my baby days are behind me!! Babies are a lot of work!!

The Friday before Halloween, we went to our ward Halloween party. Kelsey had fun dancing on stage with her friends.

Jeremy was so excited to win a prize for his costume!

On Halloween we had Ghoulish Blood and Guts for dinner...

with Skeleton Bones...wahahaha...

and gave out candy to the trick-or-treaters.

It was super spooky fun!!
