Sunny Days

It was such a beautiful day. This week has been wonderful weather-wise and I have been trying to get Superstar outside, but he just didn't want to go. So today I decided I could lay down outside just as well as laying down inside with my trusty friend bathrobe, so we went out together. I love love love our backyard. All that overgrowness that Daddy complains about is perfect for privacy for the woman in her bathrobe. I found I didn't feel any worse outside and I love the fresh air, so it was nice. Superstar did a dance to his Be Happy song. We discovered that the turtle had come out of hibernation and was wandering around. We shared a tangerine off our tree and saw a butterfly and lots of birds, very exciting. Superstar saw one way on top of one of our pointy trees and said it looked like an angel. I think he said that because the Angel Moroni perches on top of the temple spires, and it did look like that! Some helicopter flew over when I was warm and not all covered, so they might have gotten a glimpse of me in my underwear. Woops! It was warm with a light breeze and Superstar and I took a little siesta in the late afternoon sun right before Daddy came home to play baseball with his boy. So even with a yucky tummy, I had a beautiful day. :)

My tricky body

So last weekend was such a feel good for me. I felt pretty darn good. And it happens every once in a while and I always fall for it and think this is it! This is the turning point! I won't be sick anymore. When will I learn? My body gives me a couple of days off, but really nothing is fixed till the baby comes out. I'm so lucky to be surrounded by supportive people that are willing to let me rest and be lazy when I'm not feeling well, especially my wonderful husband who always tells me I'm beautiful even when I'm in my bathrobe and a mess. Thank you!

Last night we had FHE and Diva was complaining that she hadn't been on the blog for a while, so here she is, snuggling with Superstar. Cute!

So I am on the search for people who can do my tongue trick. So far, I've heard of only one, but I'm sure there's more out there. Luke calls it clover tongue. Sorry, I know it looks a little gross close up.

So Sweet!

So on Saturday I felt like going shopping. So I called my MIL and I went with her to Kohls, Target, and Costco. At Kohls she bought herself a new dress and me one too. So sweet, thanks! Then I needed some new church shoes since mine broke, so we went to Mervyns and to Kohls again and I found some! So great!

Last night we celebrated my FIL's birthday. He wanted hot dogs, pork and beans and fried potatoes. Well Great-grandpa was happy about that. What a grease-fest! I had a lot of salad and a little bit of the grease. It would have been heartburn city for me if I'd eaten all that, and it just didn't sound good. We had pie too since it's pie month! Poor Grandpa was so covered with grandchildren that he couldn't even get to the candles, but they took care of that.

This morning Superstar was so sweet. I told him I was hungry and so I went and got some cereal. The next thing I knew he was bringing me a PB sandwich he made for me. He's never done that before. So so sweet!

Still pregnant, still a girl!

So I got the official dr's office ultrasound this afternoon and apparently it's still a girl, so we're very glad about that, especially since I already bought a few little pink things! And those bows were definitely not going on a boy. Daddy's such a spoilsport! Just Kidding. So my sonographer took a really long time and I was wondering what was going on and you know how paranoid I get, so I assumed the baby's missing body parts and it's all deformed, but when she was done I asked her and she said they update the list all the time of things to look for so that's why it took so much longer than with Superstar, 5 years ago. But they still won't tell you anything about how the baby's doing. They show you the body and all its parts but they make you wait till your dr. appt. to find everything out. So my wonderful dr. lady called me TONIGHT and told me the baby looked great and everything was good and I just love her for not making me wait 2 weeks till my next appt. to find that out. Love love love her! Oh, also I have updated the about me section on the left hand side of the blog to reflect the pregnant me because I looked at it the other day and realized I don't do anything on there and it made me feel like I'd lost my whole identity. So I revamped it just for the pregnancy. I love my bathrobe!

Scrapbooking

So after many months I have finally bit the bullet and started scrapbooking online. I admit, I love it. I have been so sick and depressed with this pregnancy and it is fun to be able to do something productive and constructive from my chair in my friend the bathrobe. Thanks to my wonderful SIL for getting me started. I'll even give her a little plug right here.

Wow!

Okay so how has it been so long since I blogged!?! I did have a really sick patch for a week and we've had lots of family fun events going on. First of all here's my belly shot. I'm about halfway done which makes me happy! :)O So last weekend we got to watch my niece while her parents had a little day trip to Santa Monica. And my sister left her belly monitor so I can hear my baby's heartbeat whenever I want, THANK YOU!!! We had a lot of fun, but I forgot how kids are at that age. Short attention spans which leave them running from one thing to another, leaving my head spinning. Lucky for me, the sweet Daddy had planned a half-day off work to help me in case I got sick. Thanks Daddy, you're the best!Then that night he got his reward. He got to go to the yummy Chinese restaurant to celebrate his brother getting into dental school. Yay Phillip! Saturday morning Daddy took Superstar to a birthday party for a friend at church. So fun! They got to ride a train and eat pizza and cupcakes in the park. What could be better?! Then in the afternoon another niece got baptized. It was fun to have the family together and see everyone and I didn't have to go anywhere! I got to do the little white princess' hair for her baptism so it would stay out of the way. It was fun. Then we took a big grandchildren picture, all eight of them so far! They wanted to put my belly in the shot, but we just settled for the kids that were already born. I finally got to give baby Abby her quilt! I started it for her baby shower in November and then never got to finish it with all the pregnancy sickness, so it felt REALLY good to be able to give it to her at last. It was so soft I wanted to keep it, but my baby won't need anything that warm in July! The grandparents got the Wii and everyone was having a lot of fun with it. We even got Grandpa to try Guitar Hero. Daddy got it for his Christmas present and has been having a lot of fun with it! Grandma asked Grandpa if he should be shaking his hips or something, it was funny!

Great-Grandpa

So Daddy's Grandpa went in the hospital last week. He won't eat his food the ornery old coot. So I went to visit him while the family was gone to Vegas for our niece's baby blessing. It was nice to see him but he looked so old and tiny. I told him maybe he could find a girlfriend at the hospital. Then we went back today, Daddy and I and Superstar and we made him a list of all the things he needs to live for. First I want him to live to see my baby. Also we have to plant Kentucky Wonder beans. Last summer when he was here I ordered the seeds online but then he went home before we could plant them. So Grandpa says the first thing he wants to do when he gets out of the hospital is plant those beans! I tried to take a picture with Grandpa, but my camera's flash wasn't working right so we just started taking silly pictures. Here's my favorite of Daddy with his Dad's "ghost" behind him.

CTR!

Oh my gosh my little boy has a CTR ring! He found me after Primary and showed me his finger with his brand new first shiny CTR ring! It was so exciting for me! It seems like there are so many things that I want him to do and experience that I look forward to them but I completely forgot about the CTR ring and it was so fun!

Creative Expression

So when my sister was here she was telling me about all the art she has saved from her kids and I realized that I don't have that because Superstar always draws on his eraseable toy thing, whatever it's called. So until I become a proper mother and have him creating lasting works of art I figured I would take pictures of some things he draws.

New Foot

So when I was growing up it was always the joke with my old relatives that they needed to go the body shop and get a new set of teeth or new eyes or something. Well now, thanks to modern medicine, they can replace so many things! It's really quite amazing. So we were at my MIL's house the other day and her friend came by with her son who had had his foot amputated. He was really good and let all the kids gather round and see his artificial foot and how it went on and everything. Well I really wanted Superstar to see it because I thought it would be a valuable experience for him. I wasn't sure what he'd do, but he ran in the room and stared at that thing and then reached out and touched it. I had to take a picture because everybody was just sitting back and oohing and aahing but he just went up and touched it. Then he started taking the foot off and examining it and putting his hand inside and putting it on and taking it off the boy it belonged to. It was really great to see him not be freaked out but inquisitive and accepting. Hopefully he'll always be this way.

Visit

So my sister visited for a couple of days and it was fun. ALL the kids were sick! All 4 of hers and Superstar, so we just wiped noses and muddled through. It was nice to be together. I was thinking it was cold but they were outside soaking up the sunshine! I guess it's all relative. Where they come from the snow is everywhere. So here's some pics from our visit.
