Easter Pictures

One of the homeschool groups we belong to had a photographer come to the park so we could have the opportunity for a "school picture day." Well you know I was all over that! I decided they should be Easter pictures. Jeremy was hamming it up for the camera! Kelsey was not so cooperative, but still cute.

Fun Weekend

We decided to go to the Orange County Marketplace with Grandma and Grandpa on Saturday morning.

We hurried to get ready and eat breakfast.

Did you know that strawberries have hearts in the middle? Adorable.

They're even more adorable on waffles with whipped cream.

Most adorable of all was Kelsey and Grandpa reading together.

And a little snuggle too.

Grandma bought these pretty flowers for her table.

Grandpa Jenkins

Today David's grandpa died. I'm so happy for him. I feel a little sad for me. We had a special relationship, at least it was special to me. I'm so glad that he was able to live here for a couple of years so we could spend some time with him. He loved my kids, especially Kelsey. He always said she was the prettiest little thing he'd ever seen. We liked to joke around with each other, and he always pretended to be shocked when I was sassy with him, but he was sassy too. I love you Grandpa.

We took Grandpa for a walk to get some sunshine a few weeks ago.

I'm so glad we did.

Spring Break

All of our friends have Spring Break this week so we decided to take a couple of days off school as well and enjoy being with them.

Wednesday we went to Atlantis Park. There were so many little girls there in our group and they just loved on Kelsey and played with her, which was nice for me. Jeremy ran around and had a ball. I hardly saw him at all, but I know he had fun because he was super dirty!

Thursday we went and met some friends at Chick-fil-A and the kids ran around in the playground there with lots of other kids and had so much fun. Us mommies had fun chatting and I got my beloved peach milkshake! Oh heaven.

Afterwards we met my friend and her baby girl to play. It was so hot that we went back to her house for a little while. The kids had fun playing, and she made me yumm-o enchiladas.

Afterwards we hit the Great Park Balloon.

It was awesome and FREE!!!

We had to wait about an hour to ride it but the kids just ran around and had a ball.

We finally got our tickets and Kelsey and Jeremy were both excited to ride!

We went up and up and up and could see all the twinkling lights. I want to go back when it's light and get a different view.

The balloon is just so pretty to me and I think I could just sit and watch it.

Overheard

Every day is a new adventure. It's my motto, and it's really true. I coined the phrase when I was newly married and someone asked me how married life was and didn't I just love it? Well the first year was hard for me so I just said, every day is a new adventure. The adventure continues with children. Life is wonderful, but challenging. Here are a few things that you would overhear in our house everyday.

The Quilting Queen Bee

I'm excited! It's been fun to share all the deals on my FREE blog, but today I launched a new blog all about my love of quilts. They excite me, amaze me, and make me so happy.
