Disneyland

Yesterday was the last day of Cherish's visit and we went to Disneyland, courtesy of my BIL again. THANK YOU! It was such a beautiful day, not hot and not too crowded. We hurried over to the food tasting tent for the Ghirardelli chocolate demonstration. We each got this cute little bag with 5 pieces of chocolate. Kelsey tried it but decided she liked the wrapper better. It was really dark and bitter. I tied the ribbons in Cherish's braids.We met up with our sister Janice and her hubby and baby girl and had a grand time despite my sister's broken foot. AAAH! I don't know how she walked on it all day. She had declined the cemetery and outlets the day before, since we were going to have a big walking day on Tuesday. Kelsey and I relaxed and took pictures while they went on bigger rides. We were waiting to board the train and Kelsey loved looking out the bars with her big brother. She so looks up to him and he watches over her so well. I love to see them delight in each other. It was a wonderful day and I'm so happy we got to spend it together. We'll miss you Cherish!

Memorial Day

My oh-so-awesome sister Cherish was in town this weekend for her annual trip to the cemetery with our grandma. Every year she travels down from Utah to carry on the tradition. This year I thought I would go too. That way I got to spend more time with Cherish and visit my grandma at the same time. The day started cool and overcast which was good because trudging all over the cemetery in the heat is no fun. The sun was just peeking out as we got to the cemetery. I had gotten some roses from a wonderful neighbor to add to the poppies and geraniums my grandma had picked. We drove my grandma to the cemetery and she stayed in the car and told us where to go to find our relatives. After a while I took Kelsey out to meet some of my favorite relatives. My favorite Aunt Gertie Roses for My Great Grandma Rose "Tiny" Poppies for my Grandpa Melvin "Poppy" After we were done we drove around town and my grandma showed us where she lived when she met my grandpa, the school she went to, where her friend lived, and the big new library. We went back to her house and ate lunch and visited with my grandma and some other relatives. We stopped at our parents house on the way out of town and visited with them a bit, and then we were off to the outlet mall! The memorial day sales were not as great as we had hoped but we found some good deals and were back home in time to make dinner. Busy day, but I thoroughly enjoyed it!

Splash Pad

In Westminster we have this cool FREE thing called the Splash Pad at one of our parks. It's really awesome and about the only thing I'm happy that my tax dollars went towards. Today was the first day it was open for the summer season and I was really excited to go with our family. Jeremy had so much fun there last summer, Kelsey was only 1 month old last summer when we went, and Daddy had never been there. It wasn't very busy, but that might have been since it wasn't very warm. It was sunny and beautiful, but I'm not sure it even reached 70 degrees today. I'm really excited because a couple of weeks ago my friend told me you can rent it out, and we booked it for Kelsey's 1st birthday party. We were the first ones to reserve it from the city and I just know it's going to be the best party we've ever had!

Disneyland

Yesterday was super fun.

#2 Daddy got off work to go with us!

It took some last minute wrangling to get all the details worked out, but we finally all got there and had a beautiful day together. It was sunny with a light breeze and the crowds were moderate. We got to go on lots of rides and had enough adults to split up and get to do different things we wanted to do and still have someone with the little ones. Jeremy got to go on Tower of Terror and Indiana Jones, his 2 current favorites. Daddy even remembered to take him on the train last thing before we went home since he'd been asking since the beginning and I totally forgot. Kelsey thought it was really fun to lick the pole on the carousel. Probably because she did it and I freaked out and she thought it was funny. So I took her picture. What else was I supposed to do? Both little girls took naps and were cute and good all day, and Jeremy was a trooper like always.My cutie patootie niece My black-light baby My crazy boy I love to get Roz to talk to me at the end of the ride. I want that job so bad! My sister and her baby girl doing the character questionnaire in the Beast's library. They were Ariel. Sweet and sassy and independent like the rest of the girls in my family! LOL Happy clapper! I can't wait for her to walk; she really wants to get down out of the stroller and I just can't have her crawling all over Disneyland.

We're Flying!

Yesterday we had a grand adventure. While Daddy was watching the Angels game on Tuesday, they announced that in celebration of Jetblue Airlines becoming the official carrier for the Angels they would be giving away airline tickets at the field the next day. They were giving 346 tickets in honor of the number of hits the Angels had gotten this season. Well, this was very exciting to me! I love to go on vacation! I got up the next morning and got everything ready. Even my toes were Angels Red!We were supposed to be wearing Angels attire and bring a children's book to donate. We got there and got in line about an hour and a half early. There were already so many people and I was afraid we were too late. They did the count and we were 301, 302, and 303! I couldn't believe it! I was so excited! We got our wristbands, and 2 hours later, after waiting in line in the hot sun, we got our tickets! It was totally worth it and now we just have to decide where to go! Woo Hoo!

Mud!

This was a few weeks ago but too funny not to share. We went to our mom's park group and the kids had a lot of fun digging in the sand and creating things with water mixed in. Well these little cuties found the bucket of water and it got messy fast! My little mermaid getting her bath in a shell. Fun!
