Good Times

So it's been one party after another around here.
So much fun, I had to schedule it!

The last day of June I went with my girls to see Eclipse! I made the mistake of reading the books before the movie and so I was of course disappointed at what they couldn't cram into it, but I've recovered and can't wait to see it again!!!

Jeremy started swimming lessons and is LOVING IT!!! He has had really good instructors and looks forward to going every day.

We celebrated Kelsey's birthday with our traditional donut cake...

and frozen yogurt with Grandma and Grandpa!

Wow that was a fun day!!

We celebrated Cow Appreciation Day at Chick-fil-a with our awesome, fun friends. The boys were especially spotty and the girls were tutu cute as ballerina cows!

And finally, Jeremy got a summer buzz. Oh how I envy him.

Kelsey is 2!

Last week my baby girl turned 2 years old. I had been seriously dreading this day. Two seems to be the time when babies turn into something older, something not quite so cuddly and defenseless. Well, her birthday came and went, and she's still my baby. She may be 2 now, but she's still mama's girl.
Here are some of the things I love about Kelsey.

1. She loves to cuddle. There's nowhere she'd rather be than snuggled up in my arms. And I love it!

2. She's tiny, so she's easy to carry around. I loved having a chunky baby boy, but it sure is fun to have a petite baby girl!

3. She loves to sing and dance. I love to hear her belt out tunes, and practice her ballerina moves.

4. She's fierce! I know she'll have no problem telling people no, and standing up for herself.

5. She's not afraid to try new things that she wants to do.
She has no fear, and just dives right in!

6. She loves her family. I love to hear her run to the door yelling in delight when Daddy comes home, and see her hug Jeremy and want to be with him.

7. She has cute, curly hair! This is seriously my dream come true.
 I LOVE to do her hair!!!

8. She's observant. She notices what our routines are, and remembers what we do. When she eats her dried fruit, she always offers me the dried apricots, 'cause she knows they're my favorite.

9. She's a good talker. I appreciate this so much, since she's adamant about getting what she wants!

10. She's mine!!! She is truly the baby girl I dreamed about and so much more. I am so blessed to have her now and forever!!!

Mira Mesa Chick-Fil-A First 100!

Last week we had another Chick-Fil-A adventure.

After I did the Laguna Niguel restaurant opening, I saw how family-friendly it was and I wanted to take my whole family! David got the day off work, and we stayed overnight with my sister and her family so we'd be closer in the morning.

We all got up at 5 that morning and went down to get in line. It was my niece's birthday and they were good sports to come that early so we'd have more chances to win!

David and I both won!! The kids were our guests and got wristbands too so they could get all the free food that day.

We set up camp with our tent, shade awning, table, and chairs.

We were ready!

We ended up next to another homeschool family with the nicest little girl who played with Jeremy all day.

We did a lot of jump-roping.

The play-doh was a great choice to bring!

It kept the kids occupied for hours!

We got to walk though the drive-thru for our meals. It was fun!

Chicken on a biscuit for breakfast. Mmmm...

My cute little cows! I made them some costumes for the occasion.
I appliqued some black cow spots on Jeremy's T-shirt and I made Kelsey a black and white tutu and fun cow clippies for her hair!

So fun!

Took a snooze.

In the late afternoon, the DJ arrived, and Kelsey started dancing.

The kids both enjoyed the music. They were the first ones out for the dance party that lasted for about 5 hours!

We played the most fun game where we all held hands in a circle and had to pass the hula hoop.

Then we just played with them!

Of course Daddy had to get a shot of my behind.

Shortly after, Kelsey conked out and snuggled up with her cow blanket! I had so much fun sewing for this event, can you tell?

Here we are the next morning, tired and greasy, but winners!!!

We did it! We earned 104 free meal tickets!

Not bad for a free campout, with free food and entertainment!
